Rebecca Daws is an active member of the Minnesota Music Teachers Association and the
current Program Chair for the St. Paul Piano Teacher’s Association. She enjoys teaching
students of all ages and musical backgrounds, and strives to provide her students with
both a solid musical foundation and a lifelong love of music.

Ms. Daws has performed extensively as both soloist and collaborative pianist. She has
appeared locally with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and the Minnesota Orchestra,
and her performances have been broadcast on MPR. In 1999 Ms. Daws was selected from
international auditions to join the New York Metropolitan Opera’s Young Artist
Program. She became a member of the Met’s professional music staff that same season,
and went on to work as pianist and coach with the Berkshire Opera Company, Arizona
Opera, Minnesota Opera, University of Minnesota Opera Theater, and the Ravinia
Festival Steans Vocal Institute.

Ms. Daws holds a doctorate from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree
from the Eastman School of Music in New York. Further study includes the Aspen
Music Festival and Tanglewood Music Festival, and language study in Paris and
Florence.

Ms. Daws now makes her home in Stillwater, with her husband and twin daughters.
